The Lightning Legend[]
Earth-Dog was angry because Lightning ran so fast he could escape death itself. When the Storm of Dogs came, she was pleased because she thought Lightning would die. However, he escaped again. So Earth-Dog set a trap for him. While he was running, she opened the ground up under him. He was about to fall in when the Sky Dogs lifted him up so he could be with them.
The Empty City[]
Lucky thinks Earth-Dog is mad when an earthquake hits the city. Earth-Dog is mentioned throughout the book when Lucky wonders if she purposefully caused the earthquake and burying some prey for her.
